The Clyde Porter Arts Day was created to continue the legacy of this visionary who wanted to bring the arts and culture to the San Fernando Valley. We know that healthy twenty-first century communities will be those that develop a sense of common purpose. We also know that community-building goals can be achieved through civic festivals. The Clyde Porter Arts Day is a good example of a community-building event with an emphasis in promoting the arts and culture along the Sherman Way corridor - and adjacent areas - in the business district of Old Town Canoga Park. Inside the theatre's foyer, fine artists will exhibit their works of art providing the ambiance of a fine arts gallery. Inside the theater you will find classic and international dance performances.
